Robotics education

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics

65% of children will end up working in jobs that haven’t been invented yet. They need to learn to develop skills that will be useful in the XXI century in four main areas: communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity. This last one being the area which Robotics education with Legos most focuses on.

This discipline is , above all, a learning method based on creativity and innovation.

It’s an interdisciplinary teaching method because it encompasses areas in different subjects in the school curriculum. Areas such as Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, STEM, are worked on and other areas such as Linguistics.

Students work in groups on the projects introduced by the teacher. Using the pieces, motors, hubs and sensors provided by Lego, they will construct a robot which will be given life. That’s where block-structured programming comes in, where by dragging different available actions (blocks), students will breathe life into their creations and have them do their bidding.

The following are some examples of the creations/Lego constructions made by our students.
